When – and how – was your company born?
The company started in 2016 when I was working as a pharmacist. Customers were confused about what vitamins were best for them, and had no clear direction on the best forms or dosing. Compliance was an issue. VitaminLab was created to tackle all of these.

Who are some of your clients? What projects are you working on right now, and what do they do?
Our clients include regular e-commerce customers, wellness clinics in the US and small and big personalized testing/DNA companies.

We are working with a big national launch with a US blood testing company and in talks with the main players in the DNA space to offer a supplement to their users.

What was a pivotal moment for your company
Finding product-market fit in the DNA space—customer and companies are very excited. Also, optimizing our manufacturing, so our orders are fulfilled as quickly as possible.

What’s the most important thing you’ve learned along the way?
Too many to count. I think persistence was something I learned personally as a necessity for the business. Maintaining a vision—as is it easy to pivot too much at the beginning—and building a team is fairly vital as well—so building that now.

What does the future 10 years look like for your company?
“VL wants to reach supplement personalization to the masses and change the fundamentals of how vitamins are taken in the world”. Essentially, we want to be the go-to personalized supplement company in the world—with strong sales markets online and in North America, Europe and Asia.

Why Victoria?
Victoria has provided great support and resources. We would like to put Victoria and BC on the map and show we can compete with the bigger US-based competitors in our industry.
