What’s your company’s story?
Ergonomyx was founded in early 2018 by a couple of like-minded serial entrepreneurs looking to disrupt the global office furniture industry. With a clear goal in mind and big plans for the future, they began their journey in the City of Victoria with hopes of one day expanding into the rest of North America and eventually, the world. Today, the company has grown to employ over a dozen employees, changing its’ mailing address 3 times over the short course of 6 months due to its’ team’s rapid growth. After nearly 2 years of research, development, and optimization, they are finally ready to unveil their product to the rest of the world.
Who do you work with? What are some interesting projects you’re involved in?
One ongoing collaboration Ergonomyx is excited about is Carrot Rewards, a revolutionary mobile platform that rewards its users for being active. By incorporating their proven model into their web and mobile applications, Ergonomyx will be able to provide its users with a much broader base of rewards that are more meaningful to them.
Moreover, an interesting project Ergonomyx is currently working on with UVic involves the development of an AI model for music recommendation. By incorporating this model with a music provider’s API such as Spotify, Ergonomyx will be able to further motivate its users through tailored music recommendation.
What are you most proud of in the work that you do?
Ergonomyx takes pride in making a difference in the lives of their users and their health. In addition to having a positive impact on their users’ health and motivation, Ergonomyx helps its users achieve their goals and provides a platform where they can strive to better themselves through exercise.

At Ergonomyx, we value hard work, perseverance and a no-excuses attitude. We see this in every one of our team members. While we may occasionally need a reminder that “there’s a spark” in us, we all have the ability to dig deeper and go the extra mile – we just need to ignite the motivation.
Packed with all the positive feels, this song reminds us that we’re not just some wimpy flickering flame. We’re no tiny spark either. We’re a full-blown firework. We shoot for the stars and we shine amongst the stars.
What are some hopes and dreams for your company?
“Build something people will love”. These five words encapsulate the whole purpose of our company. That being said, our hopes centre around the dream of helping others achieve their own goals, both professionally and through fitness. In the years to come, we hope that our products will continue to motivate and inspire our users to be more active. This goes hand-in-hand with our dream of being a successful company and giving back to our investors and our communities for the continued support and impact they’ve had on our company.

Accounting for one of the most active and health-conscious populations in the country, the City of Victoria is the perfect location for an active lifestyle business such as Ergonomyx. Like Ergonomyx, Victoria is full of like-minded individuals that understand the importance of being active and leading a healthy lifestyle. The City of Victoria accounts for a large office conglomerate comprising of thousands of shared and private workspaces reaching from the city’s downtown core to its outer borders, where numerous free-lancers and smaller entrepreneurs work from the comfort of their own homes. All of these form part of Ergonomyx’s main target market.
